"I approached Lisa following a mountain climbing expedition where I realised I needed to increase my upper body strength to help me achieve my future mountaineering goals.

"I came to Lisa at a pretty desperate time. I had gone from being a healthy active mam of 5 to being unable to dress my self or wash my own hair. I was exhausted, tired, over weight and wracked with pain. My joints and muscles ached and I was aware my brain function was not as it should be. I had insomnia and was very fatigued. my limbs were heavy and my skin was sore to touch. I was irritable, weepy and afraid.
Over the years I have been tested for lymes disease, polymyalgia, coeliac, gluten intolerance, crohns disease. I have had blood tests for everything, several colonoscopy and no diagnosis. I have eliminated wheat and then gluten, tried sugar free, dairy free, eliminated all food and survived on only shakes for 3 months.
I was diagnosed in 2012 with Fibromyalgia and referred to rhuematolgists, a short relief to be given a label. what I didn't realise is this label would limit me further and take away my power to get well or improve. I became afraid to do any activity incase I triggered a flare of symptoms. I was taking medication to help me sleep and medication for pain. I hardly left my house in 12 months.
After searching the internet for an alternative option I came across Lisa. I thought to myself, Im in so much pain taking medication and doing nothing. Lets see what happens if I go against all I've been advised to do.
I met with Lisa and the first thing we did was discuss my diet and armed with Lisa's advice and diet guidelines I started my first week. Within 3 days I was pain free ! I was able to climb the stairs unaided and my energy increased. My fitness and strength improved and I looked forward to seeing Lisa 3 times each week. I never felt judged, only supported. Lisa knew my limits and helped me to achieve more than I could ever have imagined. I began to get to know my body again, feeling returned to my legs as I worked the muscles, my arms grew stronger.
